This two-day trip takes you from Marrakesh over the High Atlas and down the palm-filled Draa Valley to the desert near Zagora for a camel ride and a night in a desert camp.
Zagora is the closest Saharan landscape to Marrakesh. Its dunes are smaller than the great ergs of Merzouga, but the journey through Ait Ben Haddou and the Draa Valley makes it a superb introduction to the south.
